In the design, a cellular module is connected to USB1. How should USB1_VBUS be connected?

Description：

1：The power supply of the cellular module is controlled.

2：The voltage of MVCC does not exceed 5V and is supplied by the on-board power.

3：Is it reasonable to connect USB1_VBUS to VCC_3V3_SYS through a resistor voltage divider? If not, how should it be handled? Thank you!

Hi Yang,

If cellular module's supply is 5 volts, then you can divide it by 3 and connect it to the USB1_VBUS monitor pin.

Zenner diode in your case is not needed.

Where should VBUS be connected?
MVCC? Or connect to other stable power sources, as shown in the diagram attached

Hi Yang,

USB1_VBUS needs to be connected to the power supply of the other party. USB controller of the SoC 'needs to know' if the other device on the USB bus (that is, the cellular module) is powered. Note that typically VBUS is driven by DRVVBUS SoC pin and if controlled by GPIO, some software modifications may be needed so the USB driver is aware.

You can feed a divided version of MVCC to around 1.8 V.
