We are using both evm814x and evm816x boards with VC daughter cards.
In our custom boards we are using SiI9135A HDMI receiver to do the video capture. (Later we will use a different HDMI Rx)
The following link indeed shows us how to add external decoders for the Soc, and we are working to write our own driver.

However, it seems it is not a trivial work to write this dirver.
I notice that in the omx components, this HDMI chip is indeed supported and so I assume TI has tested with SiI9135A HDMI receiver and have developed the driver.
If it is the case, could you please share with us? so that we donot have to begin from scratch.
