TDA4VM: Bring up camera

Tool/software:

HW TDA4VM EVM(SOM+COMMON board)，IMX390 camera module

=> setenv name_overlays ti/k3-j721e-evm-fusion.dtbo ti/k3-fpdlink-imx390-rcm-0-0.dtbo
=> boot

but doesn't detect the camera. Need a step by step guide to bring up the camera.

Hi Tony Tang,

Are you running the ADAS image on the EVM? The ADAS image doesn't support the tiovx GStreamer plugins, and controls the serializer and camera sensors with pdk drivers instead of Linux drivers.

we are using this sdk: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-J721E

It looks like ADAS SDK. so must use PDK?

Is there a SDK can support serializer /camera sensor from Linux?

Hi Tony Tang,

SDK 11.00 should support the serializer/camera sensor from Linux (if you build an EdgeAI image). Jacinto is no longer releasing EdgeAI SDKs from 11.01 on.

So If we use SDK 11.0, Linux ADAS SDK should support it? or there is another Linux SDK, if yes, please point me to the download link, we need to make camera work as the first step.

The Linux EdgeAI image will. You will need to build the EdgeAI image with Yocto if you are using the EVM. If you are using the SK board, you can use
