about TMDXEVM6678LE XDS560

I use The TMDXEVM6678LE.

I connected the Emulator with PC by the USB cable.

when I power on the board, D1(LED) and D3(LED)  are ON. LOOK at the  PIC1 .

after some time the D1(LED) and D3(LED)  are OFF, but the D4 D5 D6 flash on and off continuiously, look at the PIC2.

In POST mode ,the processor can work correctly( when I Power on the board, the 4 blue LEDs controled by the FPGA lighted on,after some time the 4 LEDs lighted off).

my device manager screen is as the PIC3.

the 6678 processor couldnot be launched .    what is the problem?

                 PIC1

             PIC2

                    PIC3

  • Lei Wang,

Please check your DIP switch settings and jumper plug settings for the boot mode you wish to use. It will be best to use the settings for No Boot when you use the emulator.

It does appear that you are connecting the USB connector to the mezzanine card (XDS560 emulator) and not to the base EVM board. If not, please make that change.

  • Lei Wang,

To use the XDS56V2, you do not care about the pic3 complain since it relate to the standard PCI based emu that is not installed.

You can connect your USB to the Mezzanine connector to use the optional XDS560V2.  You can connect your USB to the main EVM card to use the standard XDS100 built in on the main board (if the two Yellow Jumpers are set correctly).

Both EMUs have their drivers installed already when you install CCS.

In CCS 5.x, you should create/use a debug configuration with the correct setup using the proper EMU/device etc...

You should be able to connect the EMU regardless of the boot mode setup.

    Good luck

    Sam
