What is the actual max display resolution for AM335x?

The datasheet at http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/sprs717a/sprs717a.pdf states that the LCD Controller's max resolution is WXGA (1366x768) but the LCD Controller wiki here http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/AM335x_LCD_Controller_Driver%27s_Guide says

LCD controller(LCDC) on AM335x is an updated version of LCDC that is found on OMAP-L138 SoC. It has following updates in comparison with OMAP-L138

  1. Interrupt configuration and status registers are different.
  2. Increased resolution of 2048*2048.
  3. 24 bits per pixel active TFT raster configuration.
Which of these is correct? What is the limiting factor? If indeed the LCD Controller can display 2048*2048 which is the same as that of the SGX530, that would be a huge difference!
Thanks,
Yaniv
