C6A816x: McASP programming from DSP side

Genius 9355 points

Hi,

My customer is migrating DSP code from a C674x platform to C6A816x system. They do plan to run Linux on the ARM processor. However, since they previously programmed EDMA and MCASP straight from the DSP, they would like to know if that is supported still. I know we have framework component libraries that can be used to program the EDMa from the C674x core however, is there any functional APIs to program the McASP from the c674x core?

I know we have Linux drivers that would program the McASP from the ARM core but is there any support for programming the peripheral from the DSP side?

Rgds
