AM623: Does the AM62x support DDR5?

Hi Expert,

The AM62x series supports DDR4 and DDR4L DDR specifications.

The demand driven by AI has led to a reduction in DDR4 production capacity, resulting in a surge in DDR4 prices.

Does the AM62x series support DDR5, or are there any strategies for doing so?

Customers may not choose TI's AM62x series because of the high price of DDR4.

The customer says DDR4 is too expensive and wants to use DDR5, and would like to inquire about TI's solutions. Do you have any suggestions?

AM62x only supports DDR4/LPDDR4. We don't have any devices that support DDR5. What price differences are they seeing?

Daniel, is there a typo in the table? It seems for the math to work out, 8Gb should really be 1Gb.

We have seen a recent surge in pricing for DDR4 due to supply constraints, but this is expected to level off next year. We currently do not have any options for DDR5

Has the customer considered LPDDR4? There may be better pricing depending on what density they are looking for.
