AM67: J722S sample migrate to AM67x sample

Champ,

My customer develop AM67x and use J722S samples on their board for long time during developing.

Now switch to AM67x sample (populate AM67x IC) and found same developing software will show error on AM67x sample board.

Is there any setting need to be modified accordingly?

Hi Rich Chen,

This looks like there is an issue in probing the watchdog. Can you send your .config?

Additionally, what SDK is your customer using?

The part number is AM6734 which is no GPU and no AI.

J722S is full set with full features.

Is there any modification required for AM6734?

Just for debugging can you disable all the RTI watchdog nodes?

Watchdog is causing the crash.

OK, do you mean K3_RTI_WATCHDOG?

How about ARM_SMC_WATCHDOG?

Customer claimed "reboot" doesn't work either.

The crash is from the above mostly. Can you make it = n instead of m? Just to make sure we move ahead.

Yes, as customer feedback, disable RTI watchdog then board can boot up and reboot.

Is this expected? Is this RTI not presented in AM6734?

Hi Rich,

The real fix of the kernel crash is to disable main_rti15 node in the board devicetree file, not disable the RTI driver in kernel config.

The AM6734 doesn't have the GPU, and the RTI15 too, so the corresponding devicetree nodes have to be disabled.
