Is there plan to support Splash in UBoot over eDP?
If no plan, what is your suggestion?

Hi Tony,
eDP takes data from DSI.
We do not have the DSI driver for U-Boot yet and do not have any plans to port the same in near future
Why only eDP must be used? Is it because customer wants to use DSS1VP1 or they just need a DP port regardless of where the bridge is placed?
On customer's system, use SN65DSI86IPAPQ1 chip as AM67A EVM board to convert MIPI DSI to eDP.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for sharing. We do not have u-boot driver for DPI to DSI (inside SoC bridge) hence will not be able to support this.
So there is no plan to support Splash in UBOOT no matter what display interface?
BTW, why need DPI to DSI (inside SoC bridge)?
Hi Tony,
Currently splash in U-Boot is only supported in OLDI interface.
We can provide some patches that customer can try to get splash on DPI, but they are still under development.
Splash cannot be supported over DSI.
BTW, why need DPI to DSI (inside SoC bridge
SN65 bridge needs DSI input. Inside the SoC, there is another bridge that generates DSI signals, for which UBoot driver does not yet exist.
