AM3517: DSS 90 and 270-Degree Rotation DMA Optimization

Hi.
My customer need to rotate 270 degrees to their image.
However, Errata: Advisory 1.1.25 describes that it does not function properly.
Will it plan to fix the function of DSS 90 and 270-Degree Rotation DMA Optimization
or plan to provide the workaround in the near future?

Any information would be appreciated.

Regards,
Kanae
  • Can you point me to this errata?

    Thanks,

  • Hi, Vaibhav.
I appreciate that you care about my post.
However my customer could find the workaround by themselves.
I am relieved for now anyway.
    Thank you for your time.

  • Regarding Advisory 1.1.25 of AM3517 Errata, I would like to make sure it.
    In Technical Reference Manual : Page-1340, it describes;
...If the bit is clear, the DMA engine fetches one pixel for each 32-bit OCP
request (RGB16 and YUV422) while doing 90- and 270-degree rotation.

Is this meant if it is not 32-bit OCP request (RGB16 and YUV422) such as YUV420,
there is possibility to be 90- and 270- degree rotation?
Or is it HW limitation for 90- and 270- degree rotation?
If there is HW limitation, I need the details of HW structures.
Because I must explain this to my customer.
