I notice that HDMI on DM8148 supports 10 bits per component. Is there any way to pass 10-bit video input directly to hdmi?

I notice that HDMI on DM8148 supports 10 bits per component. Is there any way to pass 10-bit video input directly to hdmi?
The deepest frame buffer format supported is 8 bits, but the subsequent processing through the HDVPSS is all done at 10 bits, so gamma correction, color correction, scaling etc... all produce 10 bit results which can be passed to the VOut ports and HDMI output.
