AM62L: PMIC Configuration

Dear Team ,

We are facing a PMIC detection issue where the kernel logs
tps65219 0-0030: Failed to find TPS65214 even though i2cdetect shows the device present at address 0x30. Our board uses the same PMIC part number PTPS6521401VAFR, and we have kept the DTS configuration exactly the same as the AM62x EVM. Despite this, the driver is not probing correctly and the PMIC is not getting identified. Requesting your support to help us debug this issue and confirm if any additional configuration or sequencing changes are required.

Which Linux SDK version are you using?

Please provide the Linux Device Tree node for the PMIC.

Which version of the AM62L silicon are you using?

Hi Anshu ,

The SDK We are using is 11.01.16.13 with the R1.1 Silicon Version .
It was observed that this patch is not yet removed from the kernel source in this sdk.

Linux Device Tree node for PMIC is the same node in k3-am62l3-evm.dts.

Is there any changes in the DEVICE_ID of PMIC in new Silicon Version

Hi Dheeraj,

AM62L doesn't impact the PMIC's device ID. The PMIC's device ID is written at manufacturing.
