Hello Team,
Can DM8147 take in 2 HDMI Rx in 1080p30? What external devices do you suggest ?
Also can not DM8147 do 1080p30 dec and 1080p 30 enc on H264? Kindly let me know a demo if available on ezSDK or such system.
Thanks & Best Regards,
Feroz

Feroz,
I believe the video conferencing daughter card basically demonstrates concurrent encode/decode.
For the HDMI input, you can capture 2 inputs through the VIP ports. One port must be YUV but the other can be either YUV or RGB.

Hi,
DM8147 can do dual 1080P30 capture through HDMI. Video conferencing daughter card of DM8147 has one HDMI Rx and other Component Rx. So it will be possible to take daul 1080p30 input through one each but mostly it wont be possible to get 1080P30 component source. You can try instead 720P60 dual encode using HDMI Rx and Component Rx. But if you get 1080P30 sources for both component and HDMI then it will be possible to do dual 1080P30 Rx.

Hi Hardik, Steve,
Thanks for the inputs.
Have a component source is a limitation ofmthe VC card isn't it?
We can still create a board with 2 HDMI Rx. Isn't it? Any complexities do you foresee?

Hi,
Yes you can have Two HDMI Rx instead of component. Its a limitation of Vc card not the IP or software.

Just to be clear, it is not really a limitation of the VC card but in your ability to find a 1080p30 analog video source.
Most, if not all DVD/Blu-ray players etc... will NOT analog output 1080P30/24.
This is a limitation imposed by the movie industry.
You can get converters such as the HDFury which will convert HDMI to analog which will then allow you to feed 1080P24 to the analog input. You will not find very many sources for 1080P30 video of any kind though, not even HDMI I don't think.
Hardik, can you comment on analog 1080P24 software support?

Steve
When contemplating dual video/graphics input into the '814X family, be aware of the pin muxing. You may find that you lose a GigE port.
