TMDXEVM6678L xds100 connection issue

Hi,

I am trying to set up the xds100 + rs232 interface to the above board from Windows 7 (64-bit). The OS is running in VirtualBox on a MacBook BTW and is a fresh/new install specifically for this purpose.

I installed CCS 5.1 then inserted the USB cable. Windows automatically starts installing the driver, but then fails.

I end up with a driver called usbccgp.sys version 6.1.7600.16788 (win7_gdr.110324-1506)

This is completely different from the driver (and associated "ft....." files) that a colleague with a native Windows 7 has installed after the same procedure.

Looking for help on getting the right driver installed.

The drivers are on the CD under drivers directory, and you have the Intel and AMD versions.

You are using VirtualBox on your Mac, which I have no prior experience with. I use VMWare Workstation and my Window 7 box and VMWare Fusion on my Mac and have no problems with their USB emulation on either box.

I assume you changed the jumper setting to disable the UART I/F and enable the XDS100 I/F.

VirtualBox issue. VMWare installed things without problem.
