DDR3 data transfer overhead!!!

Hi all,

We have a data stored in the DDR3 memory. This data is accessed simultaneously by the 8 cores for processing. At this stage there is a possibility of memory read conflicts. How can we reduce this overhead and hence to optimize this memory read/write operations.

It is unclear how the data is read, does each core read different set of data or the same.

Do you use DMA to move data or read directly. And so on.

The only idea I have is if all cores share the same data, move it first to the MSMC memory first and then to all cores might be a little faster

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for being late.

How can I move the data from DDR3 to MSMC? Since MSMC is only 4MB, I have it to move it in chunks right?
