AM625: Clarification regarding USBx_DRVVBUS pin's use

Hi TI Team,

We are planning to use AM6254 processor in our custom design.

We will be using USB0 port of AM6254 for to put the processor into the device mode and USB1 port to connect the M.2 based cellular module.

As per my understaning, USBx_DRVVBUS pin is used to enable the power switch to provide power to the USB device.

As per our usecase (as mentioned above), we won't require USBx_DRVVBUS pin and we can use it as normal GPIO since we are running short of GPIOs on AM6254.

Please confirm my understanding and correct me if I am wrong.

Yes, you are right.

You will need to consult with cellular module's vendor or check the datasheet to see if the module monitors VBUS for Session Start or for whatever other reason.
