Hello TI Team,
I am currently developing a servo drive project using the AM263x LaunchPad (LP-AM263) and the latest MCU+ SDK for AM263x.
My goal is to run the "EtherCAT Slave Simple Demo" example provided in the SDK and communicate with a Beckhoff TwinCAT Master. I have a valid ETG membership and full access to the SSC Tool (Slave Stack Code Tool).
I couldn't find the example project in CCS and need clarification on the correct workflow to generate the necessary files for TwinCAT configuration.
Could you please provide guidance on the following steps:
1. SSC Tool Configuration: After applying the TI-specific patch found in the SDK to the SSC Tool, which custom configuration/profile should I choose for AM263x?
2. Generating ESI (.xml) for TwinCAT: I need to generate the correct EtherCAT Slave Information (ESI) file for TwinCAT to recognize the LaunchPad. When I generate the slave code using the SSC Tool with the AM263x configuration, does it automatically generate the compatible XML file for the "Simple Demo"? Are there specific settings I need to check in the tool to ensure the XML matches the hardware capabilities?
3. Integration: After the source files and XML are generated, what is the recommended procedure to import the XML into TwinCAT and successfully reach the "OP" state by connecting with the running firmware?
In short, I need support regarding the file containing the sample ethercat communication for the LP-AM263 LaunchPad in CCS and the steps required to perform the test.
Thank you for your support.
