Recommended camera module for DM8148 EVM

Hello,

We will purchase a DM8148 EVM for image capture application (IP Camera).

We want to use camera (sensor) module (5MP or upper) connected to DM8148 EVM via ISS.

What are the models (and where to buy) of the camera module you recommend?

And I want to get information to get images from the camera.

V4L2 do not support the camera (sensor) connected via ISS?

If so, how to get images from the camera.

I need information about getting image from the camera and the camera itself (model).

After getting information about those, we will purchase the EVM ASAP.

    In other words,

    If I would get DM8148 EVM and 'LI-5M03' 5MP camera module from Leopard Imaging, for example, how could I capture image?

    V4L2 supports capturing? or any methods exist on DSP side? sample code available?

    All software components are ready to get?

    Hi Hideo,

    If you have not purchased the EVM yet, I strongly recommend you to take a look at the DM8127 IPNC.

    TI's support on Camera development is now focusing on reference platforms such as the IPNC instead of the EVM.

    Thank you Xiangdong,

    DM8127 IPNC looks very attractive for us.

    But I could not get any information about developing our own software for the IPNC.

    We plan to develop software which includes:

      - capturing image (sometime one frame, sometime continuous frames,...)

      - our own image processing algorithm

      - communicating to other box (DSP box, PC, ...etc) via GigE with our own protocol.

    For thie purpose, only WinPC for CCS is needed? No need about Linux PC?

    The OS is DSP/BIOS for DSP core and Linux for ARM core?

    I also just wrote some questions like above to Appro Photoelectron Inc.

    But if you know any information about software developing environment, please let me know.
