TDA4VEN-Q1: TDA4VEN display support

Part Number: TDA4VEN-Q1

Hi Expert,

We want to use TDA4VEN CPU.

We want to display DPI and DSI at the same time.
We have several question.
(1). Does TDA4VEN support DPI output with BT1120 yuv422? Does this function support on both driver and vision_apps?
(2). Does TDA4VEN support DSI output? Does this function support on both driver and vision_apps?
(3). Does TDA4VEN support DPI and DSI display output at the same time?

Thanks

Daniel

  • Hi Daniel,

(1). Does TDA4VEN support DPI output with BT1120 yuv422? Does this function support on both driver and vision_apps?

BT1120 output is not validated from DPI, as there is no component connected on EVM for BT1120 interface..

(2). Does TDA4VEN support DSI output? Does this function support on both driver and vision_apps?

DSI output is validated on EVM and so is supported in both driver and vision apps.

(3). Does TDA4VEN support DPI and DSI display output at the same time?

Yes, DPI and DSI display can be supported simultaneously.

    Hi Brijesh :

if we use our custom board connected to our BT1120 interface. Does driver and vision_apps support BT1120 output from DPI.

  • about (3) we see your document about DSS, The description of the new Version TRM: My interpretation is that if DPI, OLDI, or DSI is used, display data cannot be output simultaneously. please help to confirm.

  • Hi Joe Hsien,

Well, driver can support it, but vision apps will require some more changes, mainly in display controller file.

    Hi John Tu,

This is for the same video pipeline. I guess since they are independent displays, you want to display different contents on them, isn't it?
