[OMAP 3430] TV OUT

Hi,

I've a smartphone with OMAP3430 processors (and Android S.O) wich don't come with TV OUT from factory, but I know that OMAP3430 chip support Tv output:

So there's anyway to send Composite Tv signal through USB (or Jack?) modifying Android system or there's a physical/hardware impediment?

I am not sure whether I did understand your question or use-case?

OMAP3430 does support TV out, and signals are brought to TV out pins, and you must bring these pins on your board to use TV out functionality. Also AFIK, these are not muxed with any other signals.

Thanks for the answer. The problem is that I'm not the designer of the board, so it's only possible if the pins are already wired to the 3.5m Jack.

Suppose yes, modifying Android files is necessary to enable it?

It's possible to check if it's made the pin connections to the jack?

[Vaibhav] That depends on your use-case though, but you can very well enable TV out using command prompt. Refer to the PSP User Guide - http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/UserGuideDisplayDrivers_PSP_04.02.00.07

[Vaibhav] I may not be able to answer this, since neither I am aware of this board nor the schematics. Refer to the schematics of the board to identify.

I look the PSP User Guide, but I'm couldn't find the display1/2 attributes on the device (yes overlay1/2), this is because the DSS2 driver? Thanks
