AM623: interfacing with FPGA

Hi Champs,

I am trying to figure out the best approach for AM623 to read data from an FPGA at 8Mbps.

What is the recommended interface for FPGA: GPMC or OSPI?

If both are possible, could you please provide a comparison that shows pros and cons of each?

If using OSPI:

  • Does TI have any SW examples, especially for the FPGA to emulate flash and/or PSRAM?
  • Is it possible to use DMA to meet the data reading rate, ie. 8Mbps?

If using GPMC:

  • How to handle the boot mode pins since they are muxed with some GPMC pins?
  • Is there any EVM that exposes GPMC interface to external?

Regards,

Kien
