Hello team,
would it be possible to output the MCASP2_AFSX bit clock to multiple pins simultaneously?
MCASP2_AFSX -> AC20, B15, T24
Best regards,
Til

Hello Til,
It seems like you meant to reference MCASP2_ACLKX (pins AC20, B15, T24), instead of AFSX.
Also, outputting the same McASP signal on multiple pins isn't a supported mode of operation. TI recommends using only the timing closed IOSET pin combinations.
Could you share the reason why you need the clock on 3 pins so I can suggest a better approach?

Karam
Thanks!
This would be done to provide two peripherals with the Bit Clock and to avoid reflections in the traces.
Hello Til,
It's true that using a fly-by topology would not be recommended here due to signal integrity concerns.
If timing constraints allow, I recommend using a 1-to-2 buffer. You could also look into a Balanced-T topology where the traces are equal length and are really short.
For a 1-to-2 buffer solution, please check out the LMK1C1102.

Karam
