EVM5515 DSP-BIOS CPU Load not working

All:

I have Bios code running on the EVM5515, and the CPU Load feature is not working. Is there a way to get this working on the C55x? I have set the necessary bits in the Bios TCF file. In fact, to see if it was something with CCSv5, I loaded the Bios example for the F28069 ControlStick and did see the CPU Load feature working. (Thanks Dave Alter)

I did see a paragraph in the DSP-Bios User's Guide that makes me wonder if it is supported:

"Although the CPU is idle during power-save mode, which is supported on 'C55x through the PWRM module, the DSP/BIOS idle loop cannot run. As a result, the CPU load cannot be calculated and is show as 100%."

Other features of Bios instrumentation are working - LOG_Printf works fine.

Setup:

EVM5515 board, directly connected via USB.

CCSv5

DSP-Bios v 5.41

By the way, I also connected an XDS510-USB to see if JTAG made a difference, but I am unable to see the CPU Load window getting any updates.

If there is a setup key that will make it work, I would appreciate it! It would be good to see some updates of the CPU Load while this product is progressing.

Regards,

Todd Anderson
