CCSTUDIO: Does CCS support Static code analysis?

Part Number: CCSTUDIO

Hi CCS expert,

Our application requires static code analysis, also need to generate analysis data. In IAR it is C-STAT but we don't know how to do in CCS, could you help to guide us? It will be appreciated if you can share a user guide.

If Optimizer Assistant is the static code analysis tool, I try to use it but it report error in below, however I am using a official project in SDK.image.png

  • Hi Wiky,

Looks like you are using CCS Eclipse.

CCS Eclipse does come with a static code analysis tool called CODAN (CODe ANalysis). We disable it by default because it tends to give too many false positives with TI examples. However, you can enable it and give it a try. Again, you may get false positives with TI macros and such.

More details (and a recommendation for a 3rd party tool):

RE: CODECOMPOSER: Illegal state exception when running CDT Codan with CCS project

Optimizer Assistant has been deprecated in support. I do not recommend using that. I believe it only works with the old TI proprietary compiler and not the new TI Arm clang compiler.

    Thanks

    ki
