AM6421: Flash SBL through Network

Hi,

MCU SDK : 11_00_00_15

I wanted an approach to flash SBL to OSPI , without using serial port or any other flashing tools given in the attached link- AM64x MCU+ SDK: Flashing Tools . This has to be done over Network itself as per requirement as the custom board does not support any of the above approaches. Kindly let us know the approach.

Hi Amrutha,

Due to the i2331 errata on AM64x and AM243x, we do not recommend using Ethernet bootmode for flashing SBL. Please refer to the errata document here. But if this is for your development process, you can consider using it, but please note that TI will not officially support Ethernet bootmode for this device.

From your earlier usecase mentioned in this thread, You would also need to use the updated SBL provided in above E2E to send the linux image over ethernet.
