TDA4AEN-Q1: [J722S] kernel log have warning backtrace

Hi TI:

     I used the TDA4AEN J722S platform for my development. In each booting up, kernel have below case 1 and 2 warning backtrace. Could you please check how can I to fix this warning backtrace?

 

Below is my use yocto and RTOS SDK version information.

Linux yocto version: 10.01.00.04

    Can you disable all the main_rti* nodes?

    Seems like for some reason rti is crashing.

    pvr_drm_load

    Graphics is also crashing. Is this a custom board? Any changes that are done on top of SDK w.r.t graphics?

    Any changes that are done on top of SDK w.r.t graphics?

    --> As I known that not change and graphics part.

    This is just to debug and go ahead. Please check and let me know if the hang is no longer there. I want to identify which instance is causing the crash.

    Can you isolate if one particular instance of main_rti causes this issue or any of them causes?

    Based on that we can disable a particular one and rest can work. For GPU I will loop in expert once we are through the RTI issue.

    If you enable the GPU and keep rti_15 disabled, are you able to run 'pvrlogdump and capture any logs?'

    If not, can you blacklist GPU following the instructions here:  [FAQ] How do I disable the GPU driver from loading? 

    You should then load driver manually and log any crashes or run 'pvrlogdump'

    The TDA4AEN does not have a GPU, it is the TDA4VEN that has a GPU. You can refer to the datasheet which has a table stating the differences between VEN and AEN starting on page 6.

    If you're not able to run simple out-of-box demo's like rgx_compute_test or see an error then GPU is not working.

    Are you able to run pvrdebug -loggroups main,mts,hwr?

    1. There is no problem disabling GPU in device tree since you have no use for the GPU.
