C674x Secured flash boot utility.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L138, SECDEVTOOL-OMAPL138C6748

Hi,

Is there a SFH flash boot utility for secured C6748 ?

Thank you.

  • Anatoly,

Yes.  It is in the secure documentation package for the OMAP-L138 / C6748:

    http://www.ti.com/tool/secdevtool-omapl138c6748

You can find it in OMAP-L138_Secure_FlashAndBootUtils_trunk\OMAP-L138_Secure\GNU\AISUtils\GenericSecureUartHost.exe

Please let us know if you need any additional information.

    Thanks,

    Erik

  • I need the SFH software, which loads the secured image to the flash storage through UART.

What you gave me is a secured uart host.

I need the SFH. Thank you.

  • Hi, Erik

I looked in OMAP-L138_Secure_FlashAndBootUtils_trunk for SFH project and couldn't find it (sfh sources are there).

I tried to use the SFH sources from OMAP-L138_Secure_FlashAndBootUtils_trunk  in conjuction with OMAP-L138_FlashAndBootUtils_2_36 sources (after rebuild of couse) and had following errors:

  • Hi, Erik

Just for the clarification the SFT utility was successfully loaded by DSP using the secured UART host app.

    Thanks

    Dani

  • No serial flashing tools for the basic secure parts have been created, therefore the procedure you are attempting is not supported.  It should be possible to create such tools (probably doing as you have done and taking source from the available non-secure releases), but it simply hasn't been done officially by TI.  Therefore, it would be very difficult to support your exact issue.  In your case, it isn't clear what command line you used and procedures you followed. but the non-secure serial flashing host (SFH) won't be able to communicate with the ROM boot loader of the secure device.
