Hi, All
I'am a newbie to use DSP. I'm using device c6a8168, and I want C674x DSP core to use GPIO to initialize registers. I have searched some documentions, but still don't konw how to do it. Wheather use CSL or not?

Hello,
Can you please provide more details on what you want to do? In general, the ARM Cortex-A8 is responsible for configuration and control of the various subsystems, peripherals, and external memories. Please refer to the System Interconnect chapter of the device datasheet.

Todd,
My company use C6a8168 device to communication products. When we use TI's g729 codec, thirty concurrent callls at most. I don't know if I configure the server's .cfg file correctly.
Hence we want to initialse peripheral to control interface device in DSP, so that we can process voice data in DSP core directly. We don't need to communication ARM with DSP by syslink module.
I'm sorry, but I don't really understand what the question is? What are you exactly trying to do? For example, what peripheral are you trying to initialize? Do you have code on the ARM?
Todd
Todd,
I want to set registers in sys/bios 6, write register directly in sys/bios ?
Benlu,
SYS/BIOS doesn’t provide any APIs for writing to GPIOs or other peripheral registers from the DSP. (The kernel doesn’t provide any abstraction or protection layer, if that is what you are wondering.) You can write or read the peripheral registers directly, the same way you would as if SYS/BIOS isn’t used.

Also now the C6A8 devices are in NRND category!
Any information on that, why?
Thanks!
