V4L2 Apis in EZSDK to capture video

You can refer to saLoopBack, saLoopBackScale and saLoopBackFbdev apps packaged with PSP release to V4L2 API usage.

One more question

In EZSDK roadmap, It is mentioned that EZSDK 5.03.01.15 will have V4L2 capture support but it will need alternate firmware.

Can you please tell me what version of firmware  it needs.

Is that firmware part of PSP release or it need to be downloaded from somewhere else,

if yes, Can you please send me the download link for the same.

Hi,

Its available with latest EZSDK. There will be two VPSS firmware with the release. One with v4l2 in its name can be used for V4L2 capture driver. EZSDK can be found at http://www.ti.com/tool/linuxezsdk-davinci Unfortunately i dont have EZSDK pacakge with me right now. I can look into it and give you exact path tomorrow. You can also try to find that firmware.

Yes,

Second one is for V4L2. So you can load either 1st one or 2nd one based on requirement.
