LP-AM261: Availability of REV A and Software Support

Part Number: LP-AM261
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DP83869HM

Hello E2E Experts

When and where will the REV A (with ethernet PHYs) be available. If I search the internet for sellers different pictures of the LP-AM261 are shown. Some without PHYs and RJ45 and some with. Digikey is showing boards with RJ45, the TI Shop without.

Which version do I get when ordering from TI shop and which version from Digikey?

I would like to get REV A.

Which part of the software support is already supporting REV A?

Regards,

TICSC

  • Hi TI-CDC,

The latest revision of the AM261x launcpad is the REV-A, with ethernet PHYs. The Ethernet PHYs are on-board DP83869HM PHYs.

Which part of the software support is already supporting REV A?

You can download the latest SDK from here, it supports REV-A: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/MCU-PLUS-SDK-AM261X/11.01.00.19

Which version do I get when ordering from TI shop and which version from Digikey?

From ti.com, you should get a REV-A. Im not quite sure about the Digi-key supply part.

Do you specifically need the older non-soldered PHY version of the board? I would recommend using latest HW revision and SW release.

    Regards,
