Hello,

Is it possible to flash an image to OSPI flash on TMDS64EVM development board using the external debugger/download cable XDS110 using WIndow command lines and NOT using the Code Composer Studio tool ?

I need to find this as the faster programming alternative instead of using UART Boot and download.

It is for production programming step in which no CCS is installed.

Is it possible ? If it is then what needs to bedone.

Hi Huynh,

Does your board has the USB interface available? It is common to use USB DFU for image flashing in production.

Hi Bin,

I am sorry but we do not have USB i/f available in custom board. I know this is another alternative but it is to no avail

USB i/f is not available in custom board. Is there any other vendor debugger/download cables that you know that works from their tool perspective that allows to download binary image to flash via AM64xx ?

Hi Huynh,

I don't think we provide any flashing tool which is not CCS based. But let me check internally to confirm.

I think you have two options, either 1) pre-program the OSPI flash then solder it on your custom board, or 2) re-design your board to bring out the USB interface then use USB-DFU for flashing.

If I use UART boot as the default flash download, is there possibility to change the baud rate higher than 115200 from both ends AM64xx and from scripts ?

You cannot change the UART baud rate for ROM, but I think technically you can increase the baud rate in tiboo3.bin.
