TDA4VEN-Q1: Code Compilation error for Spi driver

Hi,

MCUSW depends on the MCU+SDK corresponding to the same SDK versions.

Also, you need to update the "mcu_plus_sdk_INSTALL_PATH" in Rules.make file in MCUSW_J722S_11.01.00.03/mcusw/build/ directory.

We are using ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j722s-evm-11_01_00_04.tar.gz.

Can you please let us know in which file UDMA_INST_ID_MCU_0 is defined as we could not find it in ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j722s-evm-11_01_00_04.tar.gz.

We also observed below warnings while extracting ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j722s-evm-11_01_00_04.tar.gz:

It seems some symbolic links are missing as you are extracting on the Windows platform.

Please refer to the SDK User Guide. Windows build is not supported. You should use the Linux platform for building.

As per my knowledge, SPI with DMA is not tested on our side. Let me check internally and get back to you.
Above is a bug when enabling support for SPI with DMA, need to be changed to an appropriate macro as per mcu+sdk.

SPI with DMA is not supported on TDA4AEN/TDA4AVEN. It was supported on other Jacinto devices like TDA4VL, TDA4VH etc, as it has dependency with PDK UDMA driver.
TDA4EN SDK is MCU + SDK architecture does not include PDK.


So, you have to configure SPI_DMA_ENABLE as STD_OFF.

I am using same configuration as shared by TI with MCAL Package "..\mcal_drv\mcal_config\plugins\J722S\Spi_TI_J722S\config_ext\Spi_Rec.xdm" and SPI_DMA_ENABLE is generated as STD_OFF in Spi_Cfg.h.

The issue is in Spi driver configuration SpiUdmaInstanceId is configured as UDMA_INST_ID_MCU_0 and generated in Spi_PBcfg.c, not defined in Package.

For TI Demo "..\mcal_drv\mcal\examples_config\Spi_Demo_Cfg\output\generated\soc\j722s\mcu0_0\src\Spi_PBcfg.c", SpiUdmaInstanceId is guarded under macro SPI_DMA_ENABLE:

But in MCAL code generator template "..\mcal_drv\mcal_config\plugins\J722S\Spi_TI_J722S\generate\src\Spi_PBcfg.c", there is no guard available so generated without it on EB side and causing issue:
