I need the WebSever demo on AM6254 for promotion.

Topology is this:

User mobile phone launch the web --> Wifi Router --> ETH --> AM6254B-BP1 EVM acting like a WebSever.

Please advice the SW package to demo this.

Hi Rio,

No. They are not installed by default as the tisdk-default-image being a minimal embedded rootfs focused on the board bring-up, IPC and demos.

These modules can be easily added to the image using Yocto. (Given the corresponding meta-layer is added to the conf/bblayers.conf)

# Append this to the corresponding local.conf
IMAGE_INSTALL:append = " lighttpd"
# or
IMAGE_INSTALL:append = " nginx"

(Refer SK-AM62B-P1: bitbake failed due to fetch error of trusted-firmware-a for nginx )

Hi Rio,

Yes, you can build the lighttpd package using Yocto, copy the installation packages (and dependencies) - as ipk files to the target, and install them using OPKG.

The recommended method is to build (either one of) this using Yocto and either append to the image or manually copy the packages and install using opkg from the EVM.

But both lighttpd ( https://redmine.lighttpd.net/projects/1/wiki/InstallFromSource ) and nginx ( https://github.com/nginx/nginx#building-from-source ) can be natively build on the EVM with tisdk-default-image.

If you can't build/deploy these, please try with (already available) busybox's httpd applet or python3's http.server, although they are not as feature rich as lighttpd or nginx.
