AM6442: MCU\MPU selection 33 MHZ 40line parallel data capture

Part Number: AM6442

Hi TI Team,

I am currently evaluating microcontroller options for a high-speed data acquisition application and would appreciate your guidance.

Requirement:

  • Signal frequency: ~33 MHz
  • Parallel capture: ~40 GPIO signals
  • Requirement: Simultaneous sampling of all signals
  • Data transfer: GPIO → Memory using DMA
  • Objective: Continuous high-speed data acquisition with minimal CPU involvement

Key Expectations:

  • High-speed GPIO access (preferably on AHB/fast bus)
  • Powerful DMA engine (linked-list / scatter-gather preferred)
  • Deterministic latency for real-time capture
  • Large internal SRAM or high-speed external memory interface

Could you please suggest suitable MCU families or specific parts that can meet these requirements?

Also, please share any reference designs or application notes related to high-speed parallel data capture using DMA.

Thanks & Regards,
Rajat Mishra
