AM2432: usb dfu alt modes what are the differences

Hello,

I have a customer trying to understand the ROM USB-DFU bootloader implementation in AM243x. what is the difference between the "SocID" and "bootloader" alt modes?

It seems like only the SocID endpoint is flashable using dfu-util, so what is the "bootloader" used for?

The bootloader alt setting is used to send the tiboot3.bin/SBL image over USB DFU, please refer to SBL DFU documentation: https://software-dl.ti.com/mcu-plus-sdk/esd/AM243X/12_00_00_26/exports/docs/api_guide_am243x/EXAMPLES_DRIVERS_SBL_DFU.html

The SocID alt setting can be used to retrieve the SoC ID over USB DFU.
