Regarding the question of whether the compiler and toolchain for the A72 core in the TDA4VH project meet the ASIL-B requirements:


Background: In current TDA4VH-related projects, various parties need to develop ASIL-B-level applications on the TDA4VH A72, but the current toolchain/compilers (Arm GCC) fail to meet ASIL-B compliance requirements.


Question: On the TI TDA4VH (A72 core), are there recommended toolchains and compiler solutions that meet ASIL-B compliance requirements? Can corresponding tool confidence level (TCL) ratings and safety compiler option configurations be provided as supporting documentation?

    Hi Zuo,

    TI does not provide a compiler that supports the Cortex-A72 core processor. I'm going to forward this inquiry to a representative of the business unit responsible for the TDA4VH-Q1 products. Hopefully, they can point you to some alternative Arm C/C++ compilers that support the Cortex-A72 core processor.
