Emac Softreset behavior

Hi,

Could you please clarify the behavior of the SOFTRESET Register in the EMAC module (section 18.3.3.34 in the TRM). The manual says this resets the EMAC module only, however after a bit of debugging in the Linux driver it seems that this reset also resets the MDIO module. The MDIO module's control register is set to the default values after a softreset of the mac module. Can you confirm this?

I forgot to mention that I observed this on an AM1808.

This is not the expected behavior - EMAC and MDIO reset's are separate. Since you are seeing it happen on 18x, we will reproduce it and find the root cause and also test on other platforms and get back to you.
