ezDSP C5535 with External ADC (SPI Interface)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320C5535, ADS8319

Hi Folks,

For a school project,  the ezDSP USB Kit TMS320C5535 was chosen as the development platform.

Our current quandary has to do with configuring the DSP to work with an external ADC (ADS8319) which uses a serial SPI interface.  The internal ADC of the C5535 does not meet our performance needs.

The goal for this phase of the project is to use the C5535 plus the   ADS8319 in a moderate I/O application. The data will then be written to the micro SD flash card in raw format or to a text file if possible.

We are all new to the world os DSP's . Any resources/tips y’all can point us to would be enormously appreciated. (e.g. coding examples, relevant CSL modules, technical docs,  etc..)

Our coding environment is CCS v4 plus the latest  CSL’s for the Low power C55xx family.

Regards

Sam
