About Jumbo Frame Setting On DM6467

Gigabit Ethernet Protocal has been integrated in DM6467's Montavista Linux

I know there is a concept about "Jumbo Frame" in Gigabit Ethernet. We should set suitable size for "Jumbo Frame"(setting on PC Client at least) if we want to communicate fluently through Gigabit Ethernet.

But Now, I don't know whether there is necessary to set Jumbo-Frame's size on Montavista Linux or not ?

If yes, how to set this size, TI's experts? Can you give me some sample code ?

intel jumbo frame up 2 9000 and nvidia up 2 9014

this is not about how much size of config , this is about how long of your cable and the longer cable , the more crc error .

when crc error occur ,the nic must send the packet again , you will not benefit from the bigger size config .

if you get a good emc enviroment . you can set it up 2 9000

As your description, you mean, I can not set this parameter on DM6467?

you mean, I just can set it on PC ?

Sorry for the confuse , I don't see the jumbo frame set of EMAC in ti doc , I just think it should can be config .

I mean if you want set the frame size , and if it could be config , the frame size will be volatile , depend on your environment .

Maybe EMAC don't support the jumbo frame .

1) TI EMAC in C6455 support jumbo frame , AS I THINK , your board can support this feature .

2) You must have new driver in new NDK

3) You must have the PHY support this
