How to Turn on VBUS Power line from code - TPS65950

Hi,

We are using TI_Android_GingerBread_2_3_4_Sources. And the Platform is based on AM3715 and TPS65950.

We need the USB to work in HOST mode and it should supply 5V in VBUS line. From the TPS65950 TRM it is clear that writing a 1 to the DRVVBUS bit of OTG_CTRL register will drive 5V on VBUS.

I would like to know how this is done from the code?

Which is the corresponding .c file in kernel?

Iam a newbie to Android. Thanks for any input you may have.

Hi Vivek,

If you pull latest kernel, OTG HOST support is already present in that.

If you use TI_Android_GingerBread_2_3_4_Sources, Plug n Play may not work.

How are you testing OTG HOST ?

Hi Arun,

Thanks for your immediate reply. Basically i want to know the software side. Where and how is to enable VBUS power line from code.

We are using TPS65950 for Power management. Is there any driver for it? And also i would like to know if the VBUS power line can be increase to 5.5V?
