PCIe driver causes kernel reset

Guru 10685 points

If I boot up with my PCIe card installed in the EVM for the DM8168, load my kernel module for the card then physically pull out the card, the system resets.

I know that the system does not support hot plug but it's a bit extreme in my opinion for the entire system is reset if the PCIe card is pulled out. Could this be fixed by TI? I have trouble believing that my kernel module is causing the reset given that it uses the PCIe framework provided by TI's driver!

Thanks,
Ralph
