Part Number: J721EXCPXEVM

The faulty IC is located on the debug port and failed following a connection to the computer while the J721S2 was powered on. The other debug port and main IC are both functioning normally.

    The UART ports are tested on every J721EXCPXEVM prior to shipment.  We have seen a few examples where specific computers (Windows based) will not recognize a COM port.  Moving to a different computer can resolve this issue.

    Can you be more specific about which IC/connector is expected to be faulty?  How is the history of the J721EXCPXEVM (what SOM boards has it been used with)?  Have you tried removing/re-installing the connected SOM?
