AM2632: GPIO Muxed Pin

Part Number: AM2632
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hello E2E Experts,

I am looking for the complete "GPIO Muxed Pins Table" for the AM263x Sitara™ Microcontrollers.

I checked the couple of the datasheet(SPRSP18D, SPRUJ17I, SPRUJ10F) and I couldn't find it.

Please send me the complete "GPIO Muxed Pins Table" for AM263x Sitara™ to design the IO signals for HW, similar ot the attched.

Sysconfig does not list the FULL IOs with mux configs with signal peripherals.

TICSC

  • Hello TICSC,

Thank you for reaching out. The GPIO pinmux information you're looking for is available in the Pin Attributes table of the AM263x device Datasheet (SPRSP18D). I understand this format differs from the consolidated mux matrix view you've referenced, which can make cross-referencing more challenging.

    Current Documentation:

    • Each pin's mux options are listed as individual rows in the Pin Attributes table rather than in a matrix format
    • Each row represents one of the available mux mode options for that pin
    • While comprehensive, this format requires more effort to visualize the complete pinmux mapping

    Improvements in Progress:

I'm actively working with our teams on two enhancements to address this:

    1. SysConfig "Extract PinMux" Feature: Collaborating with our SDTO development team to add functionality that will export the complete pinmux configuration from the SysConfig tool's pin diagram view directly to a CSV file. This will provide the comprehensive IO list with mux configurations you need.

    2. Datasheet Enhancement: Working with our datasheet team to include a pinmux matrix table (similar to your attached reference) in future datasheet revisions, in addition to the existing Pin Attributes table.

    In the Meantime:

For your immediate hardware design needs, I recommend:

    • Using the Pin Attributes table in SPRSP18D as your primary reference
    • Cross-referencing with SysConfig for pin configuration validation
    • If you need assistance interpreting specific pins or mux modes, please let me know and I can help clarify

I'll keep you updated on the progress of these improvements. Please feel free to reach out if you have questions about specific pin configurations.

    Best Regards,
    Zackary Fleenor
