Hi,

I am working on the AM62P MCU domain and need guidance on configuring and modifying peripheral clocks.

Currently, I am working with CAN FD (MCAN) and would like to understand how to configure the MCAN peripheral clock using SysConfig. I could not find any clock configuration options under the MCAN peripheral settings in SysConfig.

Could you please explain:

How the MCAN peripheral clock is configured on AM62P?
Can the clock source or clock frequency be changed through SysConfig?
If not, where should the clock configuration be performed?

Any documentation or examples would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Abhijith Raj,

The Sysconfig GUI does not provide option to configure the clock for MCAN peripheral. The Sysconfig tool generates code to initialize the MCAN clock at default 80MHz frequnecy. If you need to change the default frequency, you will need to manually set the clock in the application code after System_Init() API call like the below code snippet.
