Unable to load software/docs from DVD

I received my TMS320C5515 eZdsp stick today, but can't get the software to install from the included DVD. 

My PC runs WinXP, had 160GB hard drive, 1GB memory and a working DVD drive.   I have admin privileges and antivirus disabled.  I've tried the usual stuff like cleaning the disk, but no luck.

Can anyone tell me if I can download this material, and where from so that I can bypass using the DVD altogether?

    Another factor that may matter relative to my difficulty with loading software from the DVD:  I already have Code Composer Studio 4.2.3 installed on my PC for use with a different microcontroller.  Could that be the problem?

    Hi Curt,

    If you believe the Mini-DVD is corrupted, you can download the full CCS4 image from http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS

    Whenever I install multiple copies of CCS, I make sure that they do not share the same directory (e.g. install CCS4.2.4 to C:\CCS424 instead of the default program files).

    What is the error message you are receiving?

    Hello Mr. Mckeown:

    I forged ahead and used webinstall to download CCS5.1.1, and it appears to allow me to work with the TMS320C5515 eZdsp Stick as well as my MPS430's.   I won't know this for sure though until I've had a chance to work with it, but I seem to be in business.

    The DVD that came with the evaluation board seems to start loading, transfers something to my hard drive, and then either a) just stops or b) gives me a Windows message

    "Disk not formatted:  Windows cannot read from this disk.  The disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatible with Windows."

    Anyway, it looks to me like TI has supplied everything I'm going to need to get started on it's web site (thanks for that!), so I don't see why I won't be able to work around this. It might be helpful, though, to have a list of the stuff that's on the DVD so I can make my own.

    Hi Curt,

    The DVD contains, CCSv4, target configuration for C5515 (included in CCS4.2.4 download), and the Spectrum Digital example projects and GEL file.

    All Spectrum Digital content can be downloaded from http://support.spectrumdigital.com/boards/usbstk5515/reva/

    That should provide you with all of the contents that come on the DVD.
