TMS320DM642: TMS320DM642 Failures on New Assemblies

Part Number: TMS320DM642

We are having an issue with the DM642 failing on new assembled boards and would like to know what the date code of these parts are to see how old they are. We think that we may have received older parts that might have oxidation on the pads/balls or it's a moisture issue.

The code on them is CC-16A745W and the full part number is TMS320DM642AGDK.

Given the lot code, the device was either manufactured in Jun 2011, or June 2021.

From where did you purchase them?

Hi Pual,

The die revision is CC (2.0), so when did that die version come out? Looking into ware we purchased them is next on my list. Also, what is the breakdown of the lot-date code so I can decode the ones we have in-stock?

Looks like SR2.0 was released around August 2005, at least that is when the silicon errata that includes SR2.0 was published..

The silicon errata shows a partial breakdown of the lot code. Y=Year, M=Month.
