J784S4XEVM: PDK SCICLIENT Test Error

Part Number: J784S4XEVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

Hi TI Expert,

When running "launch.js" using CCS 12.4.0 to test the SCICLIENT function, the following error occurs.

org.mozilla.javascript.WrappedException: Wrapped com.ti.ccstudio.scripting.environment.ScriptingException: Memory verification failed at address 0x61000000 (/home/kim/ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j784s4-evm-11_02_00_06/pdk_j784s4_11_02_00_15/packages/ti/drv/sciclient/tools/ccsLoadDmsc/j784s4/launch.js#112) (/home/kim/ti-processor-sdk-rtos-j784s4-evm-11_02_00_06/pdk_j784s4_11_02_00_15/packages/ti/drv/sciclient/tools/ccsLoadDmsc/j784s4/launch.js#112)

launch.js#112 is the code below.

dsDMSC_0.memory.fill(0x61000000, 0, 0x8000, 0);

Kind regards,

  • Hi TAEHO,

We need to include the proper gel file for Cortex_M4F_0 before launching the target configuration file:

Steps are explained below in the 7.3.1 section.

    https://software-dl.ti.com/jacinto7/esd/processor-sdk-rtos-j784s4/latest/exports/docs/psdk_rtos/docs/user_guide/ccs_setup_j784s4.html

    Regards,

    Anil

  • As a result of running it as on the site above, the following logs are generated in the console.

    Scripting Console:

Running the board configuration initialization from R5!
    Running DDR Memory Checks....
    Clearing CLEC Secure Claim...
    ######################################################################################
Loading Sciserver Application on MCU1_0. This will service RM/PM messages
If you do not want this to be loaded update the launch script to make loadSciserverFlag = 0
If you want to load and run other cores, please run the MCU1_0 core after Sciserver is loaded.
    ######################################################################################
    Happy Debugging!!

The red log above is different from the log displayed on the site.

    In Console:
Several logs appear and are deleted, and only the log below is displayed.

    Console:
C71X_0: AutoRun: Target not run as the symbol "main" is not defined

I would like to know if it was successful if the log appears as shown above.

  • yes, if you are seeing "Happy Debugging!!" form the CCS console, then it is successfully launched and connected core.

    Regards,

    Anil
