Hi,

We purchased an SK-TDA4VM evaluation kit about a year ago. Unfortunately, the SoC appears to have developed a short circuit during use. Our hardware team has confirmed that the short is within the SoC, and therefore the device needs to be replaced.

Could you please let us know the exact part number of the SoC used on the SK-TDA4VM evaluation kit so that we can procure and replace the faulty device?

Additionally, if possible, we would appreciate it if TI could provide a sample of the SoC to help us restore the evaluation kit.

    The exact part number is listed in the Bill of Materials (XJ721EGBALF).  That device should be equivalent with the TDA4VM device available on the web.  You might consider just purchasing another SK-TDA4VM (overall might be lower cost than reworking BGA)
