OMAP 138 Regarding Transient on input/output

Device: OMAP L138 C6 Integra.

Datasheets: SPRS586D table 4.1 page 77

Issue: Regarding Transient on input/output

It is listed 3V3 (transient) DVDD+20% for 20% period. That’s ok

Q1: Inputs: What about 3V3 (transient) below 0V?.  It is listed in the tabel,  as -0.3, but that is steady-state.

Q2: Output: What about 3V3 (transient) below 0V?.  It is listed in the tabel, as -0.5, but that is steady-state.

Q3: Why is it differences between input/output?  Input=-0.3, output=-0.5 steady-state, an error or??

For Q1 and Q2, I will submit a request to modify the datasheet table to something as follows

Input Voltage (Vi) Ranges Dual-Voltage LVCMOS inputs, operated at 3.3V
    (Transient Overshoot/Undershoot
    20% of DVDD
    upto 20% of Signal Period
    Dual-Voltage LVCMOS inputs, operated at 1.8 V
    (Transient Overshoot/Undershoot
    30% of DVDD
    upto 30% of Signal Period
Output Voltage (Vo) Ranges Dual-Voltage LVCMOS inputs, operated at 3.3V
     (Transient Overshoot/Undershoot)
    20% of DVDD
    upto 20% of Signal Period
    Dual-Voltage LVCMOS inputs, operated at 1.8 V
    (Transient Overshoot/Undershoot)
    30% of DVDD
    upto 30% of Signal Period

This is how it should've been documented.

I will check on Q3 and get back to you.

This indeed turned out to be a typo/error, it should be -0.3V for both input and output. I will submit a litbug to have this fixed in a subsequent rev of the datasheet
