DM8127 IPNC GIO Control in user space

Hi ALL,

We have a DM8127 IPNC,and currently the revison of SW is V1.8.

Now we need use our own sensor board,but the sensor board require a extra GIO control from DM8127,but i could not find any app about this function,any advice from you would be appreciated

By means of sysfs entries we can control the GPIO lines

could you please get GA 2.0 release of IPNC RDK, in which included MN34041 sensor driver sample,

which is using GIO to control sensor registers. please take this for reference.

Yes,this did works for us,thanks you very much.

But i have another question with this.As you know,sometimes some GIO number pin may have multiply physical pins on TI81XX,for example:GP1[16],it have two PIN nums:AD3 and AC28,if i just control gpio38(GP1[16]) with sysfs entry,that means we have same behavor on these two pins?

Sorry,GP1[16] should be gpio48 in sysfs

Hi Xiang,

No, that is not correct. Functionality will export depending on the PINMUX settings.

If we want GPIO functionality for AD3 pin then we have to configure PINMUX corresponding to AD3 and same applies for AC28.

The reason behind why multiple pins available is that if AD3 (GPMC_A[21]/SPI[2]_D[0]/GP1[16]) used for GPMC, then GP1[16] is not available. In that case we can use AC38 for GP1[16] functionality by doing proper pinmux settings.
